BT Community Fibre Partnerships aims to work together with local communities to bring faster broadband to areas not currently covered by existing rollout plans.
Before applying for the scheme it may also be worth checking on the Ofcom website to see if 4G mobile broadband coverage is available in your area. 4G provides average download speeds of 15 Mbps (Ofcom, 2014) and may provide you with an alternative way to get access to improved broadband speeds. Subscriptions to 4G are not covered under the Better Broadband scheme unless it is a service offered through one of the above suppliers.
